THIS SHOULD PROVE TO BE THE COMEDY SHOW OF THE YEAR.

"The reality is, unionists are not coming out to vote - through disillusionment, because of tribal politics or because they simply feel that politics is not relevant to them. I want to create an Ulster Unionist Party that can address these issues."

Tom Lundy`s willingnes to grasp for the poisoned chalice of Lundy party leadership should prove to be a source of endless mirth. A few weeks ago he told everyone "the Union is not always safe." It is hard to believe they could manage to get someone more disastrous than Reg Lundy but they have!

If they had a shred of honesty they would cease calling themselves "Unionists", they should be calling themselves the "GFA party" or the "Friends of IRA/MI5 party" anything but "Unionist."
