IS THIS A JOKE OR SOUND ADVICE?

Is this fighting talk or not?

QUESTIONS FOR THOSE EVANGELICALS WHOSE PLAN IS TO STAY WITHIN SERIOUSLY COMPROMISED DENOMINATIONS AND FIGHT:

These few questions will help you take stock of your success thus far and the overall likelihood of winning the battle.
Remember…you can't afford to be on the losing side. You have too much to lose.

1) DO YOU HAVE A CONCRETE PLAN TO RID YOUR DENOMINATION OF EVERY MODERNIST AND ECUMENICAL PREACHER?
Or do you just have a kind of pious feeling that you are still evangelical and "every one knows where I stand?" Do they? When is the last time you struck (metaphorically, of course) a good solid blow against modernism/ecumenism? Did it set the enemy back any…or did they scarcely notice?
2) IF SO, DOES THIS PLAN EXTEND TO THE THEOLOGICAL HALL WHERE THE NEXT GENERATION OF MINISTERS ARE BEING TRAINED?
Remember, the longer the modernising trend goes on, the more deep rooted it becomes.

3) WHAT OF THOSE INFLUENTIAL CHURCH COMMITTEES WHERE THE POLICIES OF THE CHURCH ON VITAL MATTERS ARE BEING FORMULATED?
What specific plan do you have to clean out the reprobates there who make you cringe when they appear on television, radio etc., with their anti Bible statements?

4) ARE YOU PPREPARED TO BAN FROM YOUR OWN CHURCH PULPIT ANY MODERNIST OR ECUMENIST MINISTERS, INCLUDING MODERATORS AND WARN YOUR FLOCK AGAINST THEM?

5) ARE YOU PREPARED TO NAME NAMES LIKE THE MEN IN THE BIBLE OCCASIONALLY DID?
3 John 9-10 etc.,

6) ARE YOU PREPARED TO USE THE LANGUAGE OF MATTHEW 23, 2 PETER 2, JUDE?
If not…why not? Were the Apostles wrong to use this language? Were they unloving or unwise?

7) WHERE DO YOU HOPE TO BE IN YOUR PLAN OF ACTION IN 3 MONTHS?
Or six months? A year? Two years? Five years? etc.,

8) HAVE YOU CONSIDERED WHAT EFFECT YOUR ERSTWHILE SILENCE AND MEMBERSHIP OF AN APOSTATE CHURCH HAS UPON YOUR FAMILY?
Will your offspring maintain your evangelical convictions or will they succumb to the company you keep without the reservations you have? When Jehosaphat flirted with Ahab and maintained a sort of testimony to the Lord, it is noticeable that his son Jehoram married Ahab's daughter and forsook God.

9) WHAT IS IT IN YOUR PLAN THAT NEGATES THE COMMAND OF GOD TO HAVE NO FELLOWSHIP WITH THE UNFUITFUL WORKS OF DARKNESS ETC., (EPHESIANS 5:11)

C.H. SPURGEON'S COMMENTS ON EVANGELICALS WHO "STAY WITHIN AND FIGHT"
"I have taken a deep interest in the struggles of the orthodox brethren; but I have never advised those struggles, nor entertained the slightest hope of their success. My course has been of another kind. As soon as I saw, or thought I saw, that error had become firmly established, I did not deliberate, but quitted the body at once. Since then my one counsel has been: 'Come ye out from among them.' If I have rejoiced in their loyalty to Christ's truth which has been shown in other courses of action, yet I have felt that no protest could be equal to that distinct separation from known evil." (Sword and Trowel Magazine: December, 1888)

Sam:

No joke, neither a laughing matter, but one of a most serious and solemn nature.

The Free Presbyterian Church should be commended for giving such timely and "sound advice" to their flock!

May God grant to many of their members spiritual discernment to heed that advice by withdrawing from their own "seriously compromised denomination."

More "sound advice" from Mr. Spurgeon:

"Let those who will keep the narrow way keep it, and suffer for their choice; but to hope to follow the broad road at the same time is an absurdity. What communion hath Christ with Belial?

Thus far we come, and pause. Let us, as many as are of one mind, wait upon the Lord to know what Israel ought to do. With steadfast faith let us take our places; not in anger, not in anger, not in the spirit of suspicion or division, but in watchfulness and resolve.

Let us not pretend to a fellowship which we do not feel, nor hide convictions which are burning in our hearts.

The times are perilous, and the responsibility of every individual believer is a burden which he must bear, or prove a traitor.

What each man's place and course should be the Lord will make clear unto him."
Charles Haddon Spurgeon - 'The Down Grade Controversy'- Sept., 1887 - The Sword & the Trowel
