After reading the front page of the latest Shankill Mirror there is no doubt in my mind that having an elected Lord Mayor is the best and most advantageous way to help society.
The case highlights the plight of Carol Parkinson who is a cancer sufferer and been refused treatment. The woman is relying on help from family and friends to help her in her situation.
Having an elected Lord Mayor would enable people who are in situations like Carol Parkinson to highlight their case.
I will add Carol Parkinson to the candidates list! Have to wait until the Shankill Mirror put this story online to get the pictures.
