WHAT DOES HE MEAN?

Basil McLundy of the Chatham House, Loony, Lundy party must be preparing for a career as a standup comic. What does he mean by "substantial pressure?" Does he mean something like the picture above or does he mean, "some of your party members will be appearing in the tabloids in the most bizaare fashion?"

"UUP MLA Basil McCrea yesterday said his party was facing “substantial pressure” from “a number of highly placed sources”.

I wish some journalist would ask him for further clarification.

Jeremiah 12:5
If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?
