The main press guideline should be "Thou shalt not bear false witness."
If it is true, print it. Do not horde all the information in order to blackmail the "political classes." This is when journalism becomes "espionage."
Hunt, harry, seek out and destroy all those not fit to hold public office. This would mean the destruction of all the current UK political parties. lol
Take a look at this character, Chris Byrant as an example.
He is the type who will use the whole present furore to muzzle the press simply because the press exposed him as a pervert.
Once the press exposes such an individual as Chris Byrant and the electorate then again vote for him, there is no more the press can do, the press has done it`s duty.
It illustrates the sickness of UK society is not entirely in the press, it is the moral degeneracy of the population at large.
Exodus 20:16
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour
Deuteronomy 5:20
Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
