Indian Police found multiple syringes of cocaine and LSD left behind by the terrorists, and forensics investigators later detected traces of drugs in the terrorists' bodies. There was also evidence of steroid use, which implies heavy training prior to the attack. A source in India's police told the Mirror "this explains why they managed to battle commandos for over 50 hours with no food or sleep." The source said that one of the gunmen probably took mega-doses to be able to continue functioning after having been wounded.
