The waging of spiritual warfare is a charge given to all Christians. Their method of waging war is is also revealed, it is quite the opposite to the way the unregenerate think and operate.
I have come across a link to a wonderful booklet by Dr Ronald Cooke, the following is an excerpt of how the unregenerate harness the CARNAL means to gain what they regard as victory in their Satanic battle.

This strategy has been responsible for the ongoing conflict in N.Ireland over the past decades. Some people think the war is against "terrorism." Terrorism is just the tactic, the war is against the Babylonians who have used "terrorism" to acheive their ends.
"Spiritual wickedness in high places" is how the Bible puts it!
Eph 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
