Local Babylonian spokesmen have been trying to present their Babylonian superstition as authentic Christianity. Superstitious nonsense seems to be all prevailing at this time of year.
He would be better employed investigating why so few "Christians" live in Bethlehem. He could introduce them to his "shared future" delusion.
Alan Harper probably assumes he has been elevated to his position "for such a time as this!". Although he may be passed of as a well educated, enlightened individual his notions regarding history and the Bible are obviously lacking.
