POPELUNDY1 IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR COMMENT.
UTV reporter Sharon O`Neill has brought this story to public attention. I wonder will it run or will it be quickly dropped from public view.
Were Loyalist paramiltiaries being deliberately fed misleading information? Why would anyone do that?
Ecclesiastes 3:14-16
14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

Sam,
Speaking of Paisley . . I came across this article in the Bel Tel of March 3, from which I share the following excerpt:
"Paisley took power, but missed out on the glory
Wednesday, 3 March 2010
The former DUP leader enjoyed an incredible political journey. He bestrode unionism like a colossus, but one with feet of clay, argues Clifford Smyth
Ian Paisley’s election to the European Parliament secured the DUP’s position as a party to be reckoned with. Behind the scenes, though, there had been an unspoken contest in the Presbytery of the Free Presbyterian Church.
Some dared to speak out against Ian Paisley’s egotistical decision to ‘stand for Europe’. The Rev John Wylie’s objection was based on his understanding of Bible prophecy. Once a close friend of ‘The Doc’, Wylie walked away.
Though a close secret, this event’s importance cannot be overstated. Ian Paisley was an authoritarian figure and the forms of discipline and secrecy that he imposed on his church were transplanted to the DUP."

Can you direct me to a link that would shed additional light on the particulars surrounding their parting of ways? ? ?
Thanks for your anticipated assistance.
Mrs. O'Leary
Mrs;
The "parting of ways" between PopeLundy1 and John Wylie is something which may be prone to misunderstanding.
As far as I know although PL1 and Wylie disagreed on this issue, PL1 never disowned him as a friend, neither was Wylie shunned by the Pink Presbyterians in general.
Wylie would still be a figure of respect within PPism. Not many people have openly opposed PL1 within Church or political party and went on to prosper.
Alan Cairns wrote a book about Wylie titled "A Prophet with Honour," I am sure you may be able to get it somewhere, it is very well written and informative.
You may find it interesting to do a little research into Clifford Smyth and keep it in mind when reading anything by him. Try google "Clifford Smyth transvestite" lol
Mrs;
Just remembered, if you check sermonfraudio you may come across some John Wylie sermons.
