"TUMBLEDOWN IRIS" ULSTERS NEW AGONY AUNT

Absalom`s Tomb

A testimony to the failure of psychiatry to recognise "Psychotic, homicidal behaviour" as sin.
Absalom`s "illness" had to be dealt with in the old fashioned way!!

Judging by the amount of negative press for the Lundy`s that has been generated by TumbleDown Iris over the past few days you cannot help wondering if she is going to do more damage to her party than Dr Lundy, TumbleDown Dick and Edwin combined.
Her "very lovely psychiatrist" was most reluctant to discuss "his own sexuality" on a Sunday sequence radio show. It also appears he has stated that it would be possible to change a hetrosexual into a sodomite. What a very, very unfortunate circumstance would occur if another Lundy party figure was outed.
Does the BBC realise Iris is a dummy and they are simply setting her up for a fall?

If I can recollect correctly someone sent a very cryptic comment to the Burning Bush website when the Paul Berry story started to emerge. The nature of the comment implied there were 2 more as well as Paul Berry. The comment was displayed on the BB website for a few hours before Ivan Foster removed it. The signature to the comment was JIMMY SOMMERVILLE. LOL

The only thing that will truly change the nature of any sinner is a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and true biblical repentance.

I wonder what a modern day psychiatrist would have made of Absalom and this type of "psychotic" behaviour?
2Sa 13:22 And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

2Sa 13:23 And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.
2Sa 13:32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Absalom defintely needed "counselling" didn`t he? Imagine he was able to contain his anger for 2 full years. He saw his proposed victim every day, he knew he was going to kill him, it was all a matter of arranging the right circumstances! He has all the characteristics of certain MLA`s.

Getting away with his first escapade into murder emboldened Absalom to think along more ambitious lines. His murderous career was brought to an end by Joab who had a truer knowledge of human nature than all today`s pyschiatrists put together.

2Sa 18:12 And the man said unto Joab, Though I should receive a thousand shekels of silver in mine hand, yet would I not put forth mine hand against the king’s son: for in our hearing the king charged thee and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Beware that none touch the young man Absalom.2Sa 18:14 Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with thee. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.2Sa 18:15 And ten young men that bare Joab’s armour compassed about and smote Absalom, and slew him.2Sa 18:17 And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled every one to his tent.2Sa 18:18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king’s dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom‘s place.

Do you think Joab knew exactly how to deal with Absalom because he had an inkling of the wickedness that lay within his own heart?
If he had been a modern day pschiatrist he would have cut Absalom down and said, "are you alright?, sit down, relax, now tell me do you have any thoughts of harming yourself? No, good good, now tell me, how have you been since the last time we had a little chat? Have you been hearing any voices? have you been seeing things that are not there? Do you feel anybody is trying to put thoughts into your head? Why do you hate your father?"

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

On next weeks show TumbleDown Iris will deal with the subject, therapy for "mass-murderers."
The first step is to install them in government then regular doses of giving them large sums of money.

The following week she will be dealing with the subject of "greed", she will reveal she struggles with this sin by avoiding turning away from it. She feels the best way to deal with the sin of greed is to grab as much money as you can so you eventually sicken yourself with it. Her husband started this therapy course long before Iris, so far it has not worked for him.

The final week will have Iris deal with the very controversial sin of gluttony. A number of PP ministers will join her to reveal their methods of fighting "the battle of the bulge."
