I read a quote not long ago relating to the Bob Jones University in Grenville, South Carolina. Apparently one of the "Bob Jones es" is supposed to have addressed the "Chapel hour" gathering with the words, "We don`t want any flower children here, no pansies and no tulips!".
What would he have said about the Glentoran Belfast United and Newtonabbey Strikers Ladies football teams. Information about the Coca Cola cup final can be found at Irish Football Association website. http://www.irishfa.com/
Glentoran Belfast United
Newtownabbey Strikers
This story may seem a bit trite to the unwary but it does contain some heavy duty theology.
The {arguably} most uninformed and most uninformative newspaper in the world, "The Belfast Telegraph" has proven to be useful for something at last. City center BT newspaper vendors are giving away beautiful loaves with a purchase of today`s BT. I left the BT and took the loaf, it is more nutritious and makes better reading.
Just been reading the Devotional book "The I WILLS of the Psalms" by P.B. Power. Chapter 4 The "I WILL" of converse; contains the following wonderful thoughts;
"When our daily bread comes before us, common as it is, the glorious honour of God`s majesty is to be traced in it; for what was every grain of corn of which it was composed, but a separate resurrection from the dead? And how could that have been brought about, save by the glorious majesty of God? Well might the Psalmist say, "I will meditate also of all Thy work, and talk of Thy doings."
