After watching the Spotlight programme about the Victims quest for justice against Libya on the internet yesterday, I had the impression something strange must be going on in the BBC for them to make such a sympathetic programme.

The sky must be the limit regarding the amount of compensation that can be wrung out of Gaddaffi and the British Foreign Office. Both these parties will be willing to pay any amount to stop more damaging revelations emerging as to what exactly has been going on.

The statement from the Foreign Office carried in today`s Newsletter indicate they are squirming like rats.
"Last night a Foreign Office spokesman said successive Governments have tried to secure compensation from Libya for the victims of IRA terrorism. "Libya has told us that it considers this matter closed.

" We nevertheless continue actively to monitor their position,” he said.
“Bill Rammell raised this matter during his visit to Libya in February 2009 and we have raised this issue frequently since the restoration of diplomatic relations.

“As a result, our judgement was that the most likely way to succeed was to support the families themselves in their legal representations through their lawyers to the Libyan authorities.

“The Government has been willing all along to support the families and we’ve now increased our support by establishing a dedicated unit focused on this issue. (WHAT A LIE!!!!!!)

“We understand that a group of MPs and victims of IRA terrorism are planning to visit Libya in the coming weeks. As we have told the group of MPs involved, we will be doing everything we can to support that visit.”

Who is going to be daft enough to believe a word of this?

If you do enough research you will find the "British" Foreign Office has been likened to, "a nest of Roman Catholic vipers," by a certain former leader of a Unionist party.


If the Spotlight programme makers think they are good at having a go at Gaddaffi, they should have a go at the character below and see what happens to them!
