THE PERVERSE NATURE OF LUNDYISM

Nominations for the Stormont and Council elections will close on Thursday. Already in West Belfast an election campaign of sorts is underway.  West Belast in theory has enough voters to take one of the six seat for the Unionist people of the area.

Unfortunately the two Lundy parties are so perverse in their thinking they have shunned the notion of standing aside to let some agreed candidate from West Belfast stand as a single united nominee. 

The Lundy extremist of  the Kincora Old Boys Association and his fellow Traditional Lundy party candidate clearly have a scorched earth political philosophy regarding the Unionist community in West Belfast.  If the Lundies cannot have the seat for themselves, they are going to make sure no one else can get it.

Only hardcore Lundies will take the time to vote for any of these scoundrels.  Here is  a view expressed in the Shankill Mirror which gives some detailed background to the situation.  They still have time to step aside and find an agreed candidate from West Belfast who can gain the confidence of the Unionist electorate.
