A number of reports I have read indicate the Libyan people seem to be very courageous and sensible. It looks like they do not need the help of the EU or UN which is fortunate for them.
Most people would have slaughtered the "mercenaries" in a rage. Indications are the Libyans are interrogating them for information. The areas cleared of Gaddafi`s henchmen seem to be peaceful. There are now reports of the "mercenaries" trying to flee Tripoli.
Perhaps there would be less "militant isalmic" influence if western powers did not maliciously meddle in the affairs of the Arab peoples.
Funnily enough the Libyan flag has the same colours as Glentoran FC.
