The Stoning of Achan.Do you like art?
It all went wrong for Achan when he entered Jericho.
A few days ago I posted a video segment which mentioned "The Oasis Casino" in Jericho. A hint was given that the matter was worth further research. Here is a condensed version of the web of intrigue. It mentions a certain "Martin Schlaff," he is well worth looking into if you have nothing better to do.
An almost satirical comment is made about Schlaff in a Sunday Times article.
"The origins of Mr Schlaff’s fortune are unclear."
Some reports refer to the "Oasis Casino" as "The Peace Process Casino." Jericho is not a place which has very pleasant memories through the ages of history.
Josh 6:26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
Several centuries later a more "enlightened, broadminded, progressive and modern" generation regarded Joshua`s words as unimportant and not to be taken literally.
