BARRY IS BACK IN THE NEWS. I DO HOPE HE IS NOT CATCHING WDS.

Nice picture of Barry in Crime-buster role.

Barry Gilligan has featured in the news headlines once again. Of course Barry will be found "to have done nothing wrong" as he has affirmed. This is one of the side benefits of being a "peace process facilitator."

What Barry`s case needs is a real live, 24 carat, revenge-seeking, highly principled Whistleblower, like someone along the lines of Selwyn Black, remember him? Although "Whistleblowing" has its downside, someone had diagnosed a new 21st century disease named ;
"Whistleblower Death Syndrome (WDS): a disease that effects those who have recently become a thorn in the side of TPTB.

WDS effects all age brackets, genders, races, and socio-economic classes, although multi-trillionaires rarely succumb to the disease. The symptoms include having recently disclosed unsettling information to the public that contradicts the establishment line, and death/dismemberment by means of bizarre accidents.

These accidents are typified by leaps off of buildings with 3 digit story counts, certain automobile related fatalities, burglaries gone wrong, and suicides by hanging or wrist slitting, although there does not seem to be any limit to the range of possibilities.

WDS is so dangerous that authorities will often seal the records of the autopsy report on the death for decades after the victim’s demise. Risk factors for contracting WDS are not well understood, although studies suggest that persons who are prone to investigating conspiracy theories may be at an elevated risk for contracting the disease. "

I read about this disease earlier on an Israeli website, they should know, Israel is a land overflowing with WDS victims. Hopefully Barry`s illness is not a precursor to this mysterious snydrome. Once he is back running whatever he runs he can launch a new moneyspinning Parade Fest. We could call it "Property Developers Pride Day," to be held annually on every 1st April. Just think of all the grants Property Developers could think up for Nelson`s DCAL to give generous financial aid to?

Anyway with all this action going on around Barry he should be able to make a great contribution to the moral wellbeing of the New Ulster he and his cronies have helped to create. In the words of Henry Root to Sir David McNee a former head of Scotland Yard; " Better that 10 innocent men be convicted than that 1 guilty man goes free! That is what the lounge-room revoluntionaries fail to understand"

Do not miss this intersting little clip of one of Barry`s little bargins, he was supposed to turn it into a hotel.
"The Crumlin Road Courthouse finally closed in June 1998, after nearly 150 years of continuous usage. The site was sold to local investor Barry Gilligan for £1 in September 2003. Given the hatred and pain that marred the history of this building Gilligan’s plans for the courthouse include redeveloping it as a tourist attraction and hotel – an ironic end but at last one step to re-conquer this area for the good of both communities and establish a future based on economic prosperity rather than political conflict."

This is a letter from Henry Root to the chairman of the Parole Board appealing for clemency for certain individuals. 30th May 1979.

Dear Sir,

May I, a mere member of the general public, congratulate you on your on your enlightened decision to release ex-commander Kenneth Drury, late of the Flying Squad?

In my opinion a policeman should never be sent to prison, no matter what he`s done. It`s outrageous that he should be obliged to mingle with common criminals, many of whom he will have been obliged to ' fit up` in the execution of his duty.

Perhaps I could take this opportunity of suggesting parole for the so-called Luton Post Office killers. Not because thay happen to be innocent. In the interests of law and order that`s neither here nor there. No, I suggest clemency merely on the grounds that their sentence seemed a little harsh. Ten years is about right for something you didn`t do; 20 is definitely too long.

I look forward to hearing your views on this suggestion.

Yours faithfully

Henry Root

Ahab the model for all "Property-developers."
1 Kings 21:2
2. And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.
