The "Dirty Dozen" have "chosen" their new Misleaders! It is very like the reign of Abimelech. Makes you wonder just what will become of TumbleDown Dick????
1 ¶ And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem unto his mother’s brethren, and communed with them, and with all the family of the house of his mother’s father, saying,
2 Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.

The 9th chapter of Judges is a fitting portion of scripture for the events of today. No doubt Punt is very happy, a day in which he dominated the news coupled with a stage managed meeting with his Southern counterpart at which he announced "jobs" for the citizens of New Ulster.
John Gill`s comments on v4 could have been penned with Peter Punt, Doddsy and the Lundy party in mind, what a fitting description of them.
"wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light persons, which followed him; perhaps seventy of them, giving to each a piece or pound of silver; these were a base scoundrel sort of people, that lived in an idle scandalous manner, a sort of freebooters, that lived upon what they could lay hold on in a way of force and rapine; men of light heads and empty brains, and whose pockets were as light and empty as their heads, and fit to engage in any enterprise, though ever so barbarous, for the sake of a little money."
Makes you wonder just what type of "separation" Pink Presbyterians adhere to, when they are willing to have Punt to be their leader?????
