I saw a little clip of video on the internet where George Best`s father related some advice he gave to George when he was starting of his career. He told him, "You were born with a gift, just remember that."

It is very true that God gives certain abilities to some people that he does not give to others. Sadly many of them seem to squander the gifts God has given to them.

One of the things that first attracted me to chess is that it brings you into contact with intelligent, civilised people – men of the stature of Garry Kasparov, the former world champion, who was my part-time coach. At the moment an important chess tournament is being held at Antioch Turkey. Their internet site makes pretty big claims about it.

Someone has claimed; "Most intelligent women of the world will meet in Antakya to clarify who is the new Queen of the world chess. Savas told that the city, is ready, and all people is impatient to have this important event in Hatay."

This young lady is the present world champion, she is Russian of course. The problem with being Russian at the moment is if you win anything, no one is going to believe it was genuine! Wikileaks will lead everyone to suspect everything the Russians are invloved with is fixed!
