Thirdly, The Crown Rights of Jesus Christ Operate Over The Nations In setting Forth Requirements For All Who Rule And Exercise Civil Authority
Three distinct classes of requirements are necessary in civil rulers -- natural requirements, moral requirements and spiritual requirements. Naturally they should possess good abilities; morally they should possess integrity; spiritually they should possess piety.
Weak and ignorant men, drunkards, adulterers, swearers, desecrators of the Lord and his Day, infidels, pagans and unbelievers cannot be "The Mnisters of God" which civil rulers are desinated in this Bible as being.
"For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. " Romans 13:4.
Perhaps we might just look at the preface to that passage Romans 13:1--2:
"1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation."
No scripture has been more misunderstood and more wrested by unbelieving men to their own destruction.
The above passage is taken from a booklet entitled "The Crown Rights of Jesus Christ" page 33. Written by Ian Paisley some time before he assumed the mantle of Pope Lundy1.
The whole booklet is a damning endightment of Pope Lundy1 and his fellow Terrorcrats. His boss Marty seems to get bolder by the day, he now assumes the role to speak on behalf of Protestants according to this BBC report.
