The perverse nature of modern British life is typified by the following story. This is especially relevant given the news which approx £20,000,000 will be made available for the Maze/Long Kesh terror whitewashing and glorifying project. Plus, just think of all the loony escapades given funding up and down the UK?

£2,000,000 is needed by the end of the year to fund the memorial for the Bomber Command Aircrew who lost their lives in WW2. It should be quite easy for all the "Devolved Governments" of the UK to donate something toward this worthy project. The aircrews were made up from all the UK and commonwealth countries after all.

VBC are reporting a development project will go ahead at the site of the former Maze/Long Kesh prison. Although it will not be confirmed until tomorrow it is being hinted that a board will be appointed to oversee the goings on. No doubt this fiasco will turn out to be a moneyspinning venture for "international peaceniks."

Carpetbaggers International Ltd would be a suitable name. It should be amusing to read the names of all those who will be included in this latest ruse, especially the "academics" and the loyalist and republican former prisoners.
I cannot help suspecting this will also turn out to be an embryonic form of the "Truth recovery process" Liam Clarke has been hinting at over the past few weeks.
It is sad to think the whole thing could have been dealt with by a bulldozer and a housing development built on the rased ground.

I did see an article claiming N.Ireland is greatly benefitting from the movie industry. An endless source of movie stories exist in N.Ireland all calling out to be broadcast from the silver screen.
