On Friday 8.00pm 7th September 2007 "Icahbod" Memorial Church will witness a modern day attempt to rasise a "denominational Lazaus" from the dead. Months of shameful "theological ducking and diving" is expected to be brought to an end when Pink Presbyterians gather to elect a new Moderator among other things.
It is known a substantial number of ministers and elders have declared an intention to vote against any attempt to have Pope Lundy1 put on his ecclesiastical throne again. Among those expected to support Pope Lundy1 are; Stanley Barnes, Geoff Abraham, Fred Greenfield, Roy Stewart, Alan Smylie, David Anderson, Jim Hartin, Ron Johnston; sort of gives you a flavour regarding the calibre of spiritual Lundy the Pope is depending on.
An attempt to defuse the situation is thought to include proposing David Parkes as Moderator! The idea is laughable. Parkes would only be in position a few days when some pesky journalist starts asking questions about an air rifle, a hospital visit and a cover up! The denomination will become more of a laughing stock than it is at present.
Pink Presbyterians better knuckle down and put someone in place who will unshamedly stand up for Biblical truth!
I have been informed a protest is planned to take place at the "Icahabod Memorial" starting approx 7.00 pm. The purpose is undoubtedly "To praise those that do well, and be a terror to those that do evil."
