"Later in his remarks, the Rev Dickinson said: "We will seek to reclaim the Orange Institution for God and we will endeavour to put Protestantism back into Orangeism."
This has the potential to become a very interesting story. The last time something similar was tried it all ended in tears. You never hear of Joel Patton and "The Spirit Of Drumcree," nowadays. Patton leaving Orange Order. Disallusioned? I wonder why?
The powers that be, which currently govern the UK are determined that "Protestantism," should not be put back into anything be it religious, political, social, economic etc.
If Stephen Dickinson and his cronies are going to put Protestantism into anything they can start by getting out of their apostate Presbyterian, CoI and Methodist denominations.
Fortunately "Protestantism," existed long before there was an Orange Order!
You would think that after all the lies, deception and betrayal over the past 40 years, Protestants would have learned not to put their trust in any man, men or organisations!
This link may provide researchers with an insight into Orange thinking. Orange Standards
Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
