PETER PUNT`S FIRST BAPTISM OF FIRE COULD BE HIS LAST.

Reports suggest an election has been forced by the UUP in the Fermanagh area. This will be Punt`s first electoral test as a leader. I cannot wait to see the results. Hopefully the election will coincide with the proposed "theological endgame," which is implied will be played out in the PPC.
Punt`s position to politically manouvre is non existent nowadays.

The article below is from the Slugger O`Toole website.
"Fermanagh Council By-election"

A by-election will be called in Enniskillen DEA of Fermanagh Council, following an objection from UUP Councillor Bertie Kerr to a DUP co-option to replace the recently deceased DUP Cllr Joe Dodds (father of Nigel Dodds). It appears it was not a UUP group decision to object. Two previous co-options to the Council (1 DUP and 1 SF) had gone through unopposed.

The Enniskillen DEA is the only one in Fermanagh where the DUP outpolled the UUP in 2005. However, it is not just a tight fight between the DUP and UUP - 28.2% to 20.2% - but also between Unionism and Nationalism - 49% to 46.4% (excluding Socialist candidate).

Will the UUP run as it seemed supportive of a co-option? Will the TUV run when a further split in votes would almost certainly directly benefit SF? Fermanagh Unionism is known for its conservatism so will the nature of the vacancy, the death of a well-known local councillor, lead to a backlash at the forcing of a by-election?
Whatever the answers, it will be the first electoral test for a DUP led by Peter Robinson. "

Imagine the hyper-paranoia which will sweep through the Lundy ranks if there is another good electoral performance by TUV?

There are 2 excerpts here taken from;
"A WORD TO THE DISTRESSED AMONG GOD`S FLOCK TODAY"
The latest editorial on the BB website.

"The matter is not yet over nor has it been fully disposed of. What has taken place in Ulster within the last 20 months has revealed the workings of a spirit that must be faced up to and dealt with in the manner God has decreed before we can relax and consider the danger as being past for the present."

"Wrong has taken place amongst God’s people in Ulster. It must be faced up to, judged as such and repented of and put away.

It cannot be ignored if we would regain God’s blessing upon us. What has been stated in this article may have the taste of the drink of the ashes of the golden calf mixed with water, but such is as the bitter herbs which had to be eaten on the night of the Passover.

Repentance, bitter as it may be, must be partaken of if we are to recover from the follies of recent years."

THSES ARE MY COMMENTS, JUST IN CASE YOU THINK THEY ARFROM THE ARTICLE.
It is obvious the PPC cannot leave the situation as it is presently. A decisive resolving of the issue must take place.

To sum it up, the Pink Presbyterians must become Orange Presbyterians. lol
