The general public who is at the mercy of this merry money making band can be manipulated into feeling good by telling them "you have never had it so good," look at how you house values have increased. When the values fall and the general public become concerned that their illusory wealth is evapaorating, they can be told, "it is the fault of the international economy, just sit tight and all will be well."

Unfortunately if you happen to owe money to the "property developers, bankers or politicians, they will say, "I am sorry for your circumstances, but you have to pay up, a deal is a deal, I have done nothing wrong!"

This is how the famous "Great Depression" of the 1920s was created, a certain Joseph Kennedy was one of the main players in bringing the "Depression" about.
