Mural of 3 MI5 agents masquarading as IRA gunmen.Peter Punt has become an apologist for IRA/MI5. He claims he has been given "private assurances" they are now out of business for good. Peter does not indicate whether he believed them or not! There are 3 ways to analyse these assurances;
1. Have they gone out of business because they were defeated?
2. Have they gone out of business because they have won?
3. Have they just told Peter another lie just like so many others?
This follows on from Peter and the same individuals negotiating "a deal" which no member of their parties, nor MSM journalists, nor political commentators in general can explain or understand!
Peter still has not volunteeered to stand as DUP Euro candidate, nor has he volunteered any of his "party colleagues" to stand either.
There is a certain percentage of the Unionist electorate who do not want to be governed by IRA/MI5 under any circumstances, even if Peter is their new spokesperson. How large or little this Unionist bloc is will not be known until Euro election count day.

What has really amazed decent people is the depth of the dup betrayal.
