A Lundy Israeli-style. He is like a composit of Paisley,Mcrea, "Field-Marshall" Jeffrey Donaldson and various religious Pink Presbyterian Ostriches!
On the surface this religious character is a "right wing" leader of the "Orange Camp" in Israel. In reality he is working for the Israeli government intelligence services. His task is to come up with ideas for "protests" which seem to oppose the strategy of the Israeli government. The end result of his activities are a series of meaningless, ineffective protests, which end up with a defeated, demoralised right wing. During the eviction of Jews from Gaza, Aviner was to ensure the Jews would make a protest, BUT that they would never go against their "brothers" in the security forces and all protests would be peaceful!
In short his task is to ensure the people have a leader, but it is a leader who is leading them up the garden path.
