Press reports state during the funeral service for Gusty Spence, it was was revealed by Dawn Lundy a "Unionist" politician was one of the instigators which lead to the setting up of the UVF in the mid 1960`s.
Your natural reaction would be to expect local media whores to now ask Dawn Lundy to reveal the identity of the "Unionist" politician. After all, it is a matter which would be of some public interest.
Over the years I have heard a few names as to who the identity of the "Unionist" politician was. Now Dawn has the chance to clarify the whole issue.
What is now interesting will be if Gusty Spence left any audio recording testimonies with the Jesuits of Boston College. I am sure it will not be long before it will be made known if he has.
